Hello. I'm looking to find and share an apartment, condo, or townhome, at least 2B/2B, 1100 sf with a male or female roommate. I am presently living alone in a 2/2 apt. in N. Austin (2 yr. this apt.), but would like a roommate to save $. My lease is up 5/1, but I have to give notice by 3/1. My idea is that we would agree on a place together and both sign the lease. My current apt. is almost 1100 sf, but I'd like a place a little larger, but more importantly, a different floor plan with a roommate. (My complex is nice and has other floor plans, so it's a possibility.)I am a very young 59 yr. old female. I am considerate, good-natured, open-minded, fit, active and live a healthy lifestyle. My kids are grown and independent (no grandchildren). I have no pets. I have nice furniture/furnishings.This is what I'm looking for in a roommate (besides being considerate/amiable):Steady income and a reference from where you've been livingI like my living space very clean, so you would, too. Absolutely no drugs and no smoking by you, or your guests, not even on the patio or porch.No criminal recordI might be older, but I won't get into your personal business, as long as it doesn't affect me negatively in our space.No pets (even though I love dogs)I work from home (computer) at the present. You work outside the home or are a grad student. I'm open-minded and want everyone to enjoy life, but random people coming and going, or a bf or gf over all the time, or a regular party would not be cool. I live a pretty quiet life and would prefer the same from you.No kids/grandkids (young or grown) overnight on a regular or frequent basis (my kids are independent -- I want yours to be, too)Rent: Willing to pay $500 - $625 each (total rent $1000 - 1250); split utilities. If you know of a NICE apt. for less, I'm game.
